What does the job entail?

Basically, you fill out simple surveys on various products, services, TV shows, etc.  You give your opinion on something, and the company asking for your opinion pays you!  If you get invitations to focus groups (which take longer and involve giving a much more detailed opinion, generally in person at a company location), you can make significantly more.

Sounds really simple, right?

Well, it is.  But, not all of the sites out there who have taken the time to compile a list of survey and focus group companies, are created equal.  A good number of them have poor members areas, a lot of dead links, and hardly ANY links that will allow you to sign up with survey companies that actually pay real cash, with almost all of them paying in points, entries into their drawings, or prizes.  The companies that do this, rather than paying you with cash for every survey taken, aren't necessarily bad.  In fact, very few people are willing to sign up with those survey companies, so the competition for the drawings and the prizes can be much lower than you think, and may even be worth your time!

BUT, you weren't looking for a way to get a free TV or lottery ticket online, were you?  No!  You were looking for a way to make ends meet without having to commute across town, and deal out half your paycheck to gas!  So... it irritates me when the vast majority of survey companies that these sites put together don't pay cash at all!  And, with that in mind, it was dreadfully easy to pick my #1 choice.

#1 - Classified Surveys

As I said on the home page, this one is a phenomenal paid surveys site.  It costs less than $50 for a lifetime membership to their site.  There are few, if any "dead" links.  You get plenty of bonuses.  And, the survey companies that they provide you with in the members area are great.  They have the most actual paid surveys I've seen to date (rather than those sites that use a points or prizes system to reward survey-takers the majority of the time).

There really is little to no competition in this arena.  And, they offer an 8 week money back guarantee.

#2 - Survey Scout

Okay, so maybe my #1 has a little competition.  My #1 still has more survey companies in their list that pay cash, but this site does have a whole heck of a lot of them!  And, they've been in business since 2003, having stood the test of time online, still updating and maintaining their extensive list of survey and focus group companies.

The cost for membership is around $35 and comes with a 100% money back guarantee.

As part of what they offer, they give you a lot of tools and support.  My #1 is #1 because I believe you'll be able to earn more money through their list.  BUT, if I were judging on support and detailed instruction on what to do, I would have chosen Susan Smith's site here.

There are few, if any "dead" links, and it's very simple to navigate and figure everything out.  They also offer many bonuses, like getting paid to drive your car, play games, read e-mails, etc. etc.

#3 - Express Paid Surveys

Though it wasn't my number 1 pick or even my 2nd choice, this site really is great.  The members area has few, if any, "dead" links.  The owners work pretty hard making sure those links are active.  They have a lot of paid surveys, though they do have more points or prize rewards based surveys than Classified Surveys does, but then, who doesn't?

This site is still very good, and it's a great value.  Lifetime access to their members area, with your survey companies list and your free bonuses (which came in handy as well, for me), costs around $35.

This site, and the above #1 and #2, come with that free form filling software I mentioned on the home page when you're going for this option while working from home, that you can use in order to drastically cut down the amount of time it takes you to fill in your surveys.

And this one, as well, offers an 8 week money back guarantee.
