Essentially, there are three options you have, when working from home. They are:
A Home Job - Your basic home job is one where you're working for someone else, from home. It may be home assembly, clerical work, writing articles, etc. The potential income is lower than starting your own home business, but the monetary investment should be nothing for the job (If you're working for someone else, they should be paying you, rather than the other way around), and perhaps a small fee for the listings and information from a third party company who can save you time and money, if they are legitimate, and help you with finding the job that is just right for you. If you're not into starting your own home business, or spending time with surveys, or you just want a job that you don't have to commute in order to do, then this is the option for you.
Paid Surveys/Mystery shopping, etc. - Generally, you will have to pay a fee for a list, or you can spend the enormous amount of time researching various survey companies if you would rather. The fee for the list generally ranges from $35 - $70. The potential income is greater than it is with a home assembly job, usually, but it really depends on how many surveys you qualify for and have the time to complete. The surveys (or mystery shopping tasks) are very simple, but you will need to qualify for each survey you are sent an invitation for (some legitimate survey list sites actually offer free form-filling software that can make this task much less daunting, and take much less time out of your day).
A Home Business - Your income potential is the highest with this option, with some people quite literally making $30,000-$100,000 per month from home (these "elite" tend to be seasoned affiliate marketers who've spent a significant amount of time perfecting their methods which won't work for everyone in precisely the same fashion). Depending on the kind of business opportunity you invest in, the price for the information and starting directions (unless you really are an internet guru who can do it all by yourself) ranges from $45-$100. Considering the potential, that's a pretty small monetary investment, and completely worth it! But, this option takes a good deal of dedication on your part, though much less time once you have everything set up. With this option, you can make money while you sleep, after you've put the business model into action!
